Since its creation in 1984, UMBC Men’s Rugby has been a defining, charismatic and intoxicating force for its university. This team is committed to excellence on and off the pitch, featuring both Meyerhoff Scholars and MidAtlantic Rugby Allstars. Fire burns in the heart of every UMBC Rugger, uniting all those who have donned its patch. Its alumni, termed ‘Arbutian Revolution’, still play competitively in nationwide tournaments and continue to teach the current team. UMBC Men’s Rugby has adopted a coaching approach that permits any skill level and has proven successful against DII competition. The guys encourage you to connect with them at practice and learn the beautiful sport of Rugby!
