UMBC Ice Hockey was established in 1988, providing student-athletes the opportunity to continue competing at a high level. Since its inception, our program has focused on developing well-rounded student-athletes who are prepared for life after college. In addition to their athletic commitment, our players are expected to maintain a quality GPA and are required to participate in the community. We believe these traits best prepare our student-athletes to continue their education in graduate studies or to directly enter the workforce.
