The UMBC Aikido club was created for and serves all UMBC students, faculty and staff who seek to enhance their quality of life through the knowledge and practice of Aikido and other Japanese cultural arts.
We embrace the founder, Rev. Zenko N. Okimuras principles of love, caring, inclusiveness, justice and peace to enrich ourselves, our families and our community.

“The UMBC Aikido Club does not charge any fees to practice and is open to anybody with a RAC membership, e.g. students, faculty and staff, alumni or community memberships.  You do not even have to buy a gi (uniform). The UMBC Aikido club meets Wednesdays from 8:30pm to 10pm and Sundays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm during the Fall and Spring semesters.  All practices are held in the RAC’s Fitness Studio.
